Reported from northern (Tung-hsiao (Ref. 43515) and occasionally found in Shihman (Ref. 43538)) Taiwan and from the Penghu (Ref. 55073), Lanyu, and Green islands (Ref. 48445, 48451). Collected from mangrove creeks in Chu-Wei, northwestern Taiwan and Syh-Tsao, southwestern Taiwan (Ref. 48455). The first successful larviculture in Taiwan occurred in 1998 (Ref. 40297).
